1b) Technical Knowledge and Ability
You should show that you have used a range of learning technologies. These might include web pages and online resources, Virtual Learning Environments, electronic assessment, blogs, wikis, mobile technology, AR/VR, programming languages, or other relevant technologies. It is important to make it clear how the technology you discuss is being used for learning and/or teaching. Evidence might include copies of certificates (originals not needed) from relevant training courses, screenshots of your work, a note from academic or support staff who have worked with you or, if appropriate, confirmation that the work is your own from your line manager.
CMALT Guidance Notes 2019
I have used various learning technologies throughout my practice. These include creating web pages, online resources, VLE’s and blogs and different technologies for content creation such as Adobe Spark, Biteable, Bitmoji, Glogster etc. In previous roles, I have developed resources for learners and provided professional development for educators to help them embed technology enhanced learning within their own practice. I love playing with new technologies and helping to test them out.
I have embedded a live google sheet below where I have listed some of the technologies that I use regularly. I have also provided some favourite examples to show how the technology has been used for learning /and or teaching, 🔎CP1💻CP2
Reflection
I was quite surprised by the different technologies that I have used over the years. I wish I had started keeping a list a long time ago, this is something I hope to continue going forward as of course different technologies come and go with the ebb and flow of time. I must admit the learning technologies that I gravitate towards tend to be the ones that I can have a pretty strong creative element in and also that are visually appealing, so there is probably a bit of a bias towards those in there. When I think of when I was doing my Surveying qualifications by distance learning with the College of Estate Management, this was all done by hand ( literally hand written – I very rarely hand write anything anymore) and sent by post as this was all pre-internet! It is truly amazing to see all the different technologies that can aid in learning and teaching.

This Google sheet shows the different technologies that I use regularly and how I use these for learning and teaching. I am trying to keep this updated so this is an organic list.
Using Padlet in Your Teaching Workshop
This is a padlet that I created for an online Workshop that I delivered about using Padlet in your teaching. I shared my screen during the session so that participants could see their contributions grow as they posted. I demonstrated how to make a post, how to use the Video feature and showed how to embed a padlet within a padlet. The padlet was live so that the participants could actually make posts and see them appear live.
Padlet created for PhD Students to share resources
I created this padlet for PhD students to share their useful digital tools. I did this during a workshop given by Dr Emma Brodzinksi in response to an exercise that we did where I thought it might be helpful for others to be able to add their resources.
Padlet created to showcase Content that I have made with Various Digital Technologies
I use padlet for loads of things. This one has a collection of various content that I have created over the years.
WordPress Blog
I am self-taught with WordPress but I have run several different additional blogs over the years at the University of South Wales, Swansea University, at ALT and now at Jisc. I have had my own WordPress blogs since 2014 and these are now hosted with Reclaim Hosting.

Adobe Spark :Workshop Output
This is an example of an adobe spark that I created as an output for a collaborative interactive social media workshop delivered at the Social Media in Higher Education Conference. In the workshop we covered how different social media technologies could be used learning and teaching.
