Future Plans
This section is not assessed, but it is still a required section, of between 200 โ 500 words. The purpose of this is not only to give the assessor a sense of your future aims, but also help you plan for your professional development. It will be useful when preparing to keep your CMALT accreditation current by undertaking a review of your practice every 3 years.
CMALT Guidance Notes 2019
Pulling together my CMALT portfolio has really given me the opportunity to reflect on my practice. I suffer greatly from imposter syndrome so I have found it really hard to decide what aspects to focus on. It was really tough even to know where to start, and I definitely found it much easier in helping other people pull together their own portfolios rather than doing my own. Anyhow, I hope it has been interesting in some small way and perhaps even helpful in sharing my practice.
I am in the process of applying for my Senior Fellowship at Advance HE so this has been a really useful exercise though. My main plan at the moment is to continue to work on my PhD Research. I have been doing this since 2017 and I really just want to get it done now. I hope to be in the position of having a draft of my thesis by the end of the year ( fingers crossed ) I also hope to resume more regular blogging once my PhD is finished .. (eventually !)
I also hope to apply for Senior CMALT in the future and build on the work that I have done in this portfolio, I will also be trying to be strict with myself and ensuring that I keep a record of the CPD that I will be doing so that when it comes to doing my 3 yearly review this will make my life easier. I do already keep a record of sorts on my main online portfolio but I have to confess that sometimes it is a bit hit and miss !
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to read my portfolio.
