I always find it difficult to keep up with posting my reflections on the stuff I have been doing. I’m in awe of people like Sue Beckingham and Chrissi Nerantzi who just seem so amazingly productive …
My usual trick is to try to draft something in my blog, then I get side tracked and wander off to do something else and end up closing it down as a draft post. I have all good intentions of going back to finish it off … By the time ( and if) I eventually get around ( out of sight is out of mind) to going back to finish it time has usually moved on and I feel kinda stupid releasing it at a later date.
I have all good intentions of going back to finish it off … By the time ( and if) I eventually get around to going back to finish it time has usually moved on and I feel kinda stupid releasing it at a later date so inevitably I just leave it there ….
There are so many half finished drafts floating around my blog … <sigh> looking quite sorry for themselves and wishing they had been written by someone else no doubt …
My other trick is previewing the post in draft and feeling dissapointed with the theme on my site (I dont like the font and its way too busy and generally not very readable ) and getting side tracked by all the other shiny themes that I know are so much better than mine … I then end up using that nifty little tool that lets you see what your site would look like in another theme etc and then something else happens and you have guessed it .. the post ends up back in draft …
Anyhow …in an attempt to try to kick this habit I thought I would try another strategy and just press publish at the point that I would normally just leave it in draft . The idea being that I can ( at some point) then go back and edit it … Not sure this will work but lets go with it for now….
I’d be really interested to know how other people manage to be so productive in their blogging and whether they have found a solution to my lonely drafts …
So that being said I’m going to press the button now and kick the habit … See you next time !

To reassure you I have many blog posts left in draft for all the same reasons! One day I will revisit and either lay to rest or finish and publish. Sometimes we need time to develop ideas. That said It’s great to simply write and share what’s going on in the hear and now. I really enjoy your blog Deb, so keep doing what you are doing and then do it more!
Aww thanks so much for the kind words of encouragement Sue … so lovely of you to say 🙂
